The rules

I hate having to write these damn things.
In a perfect world people would act better behind the anonymity of the internet.
But because some people have to be told, here are the rules.

1. Don't be a Dick.

I'm not going to explain this, everyone should have enough common sense to know if they are acting like a dick or not. And remember this is my house, so we are not going off your definition of what being a "dick" is. Also, Report flame/troll posts instead of filling the thread with off-topic flaming. If you need to continue whatever argument with a person take it to Private Message's unless it directly concerns the topic at hand.

2. Sigs can be a max of 570 width x 165 height & 2 lines of text

If you don't have an image, it may be 5 lines of text.

You may have multiple images, as long as they dont' exceed the 570 x 165 rule.
Obnoxious signatures will be removed for breaking rule 1 and 2.

3. Help comes to those who help themselves! Use the search tool before posting.

I'm more lenient on those who mess this up than any other rule. If you need help we will try our best to provide. If you repost a question, it won't be more than a slap on the hand, unless it becomes an issue. However I will not tolerate people who think it's ok to break rule number 1 trying to be enforcers of this rule.

4. Don't use "thx" or "plz" on my forums.

If you can't take the time to type out "thanks" or "please" don't type it! I understand that shorting some words on the internet is common, but if you want to be sincere, type the fucking word, ok? (pet peeve).
However free to WTF, ROOFLCOPTER, ROTFLMAO, OMFG, BBL all you want.

5. Don't post porn, warez, or illegal files here.

I don't need the Feds beating on my door because of something you did. Besides, I'll just give them your address anyways.

6. Obnoxious complaints about Realism

It pains me to put this in, but I get so many goddamn threads complaining about realism. If you want to talk about realistic weapons, tactics ect, we have threads for that. Its a great place to express options about these subjects. However I don't want to read your essay or bullet points about how my inclusion of extra options that are unrealism hurts SMOD: Tactical. SMOD: Tactical strives for realism, but does allow players to change how much realism they want to take on. These are expressed in graphics, weapons, and some rule modifications. If you don't want to partake in a specific option, you don't have it. As for complaints about other things, please read prior threads to make sure I haven't stated that its not possible in the current build of SMOD.

7. "Bumping"

If any non-sticky topic has had no posts in over two months DO NOT POST IN IT (Unless you made the topic OR it's a meaningful post). The topic will be locked and you may be warned. If you got this OH SO COOL idea that MUST be shared don't go into a 5 month old topic to do that as the person has likely moved on from whatever they posted by then. Also trying to help people in 4 month old topics is a good example of what NOT to do. Multiple bumps in a short time span are bannable.
Please note, if any moderator believes your post or replies are "stupid" he/she has the full right to ban you for a day.
